Some commercial kitchen cleaners may be tempted to try this if they have left their scrub brushes at home and see an old chunk of broccoli in the trash. We want you to know, however, that this is not a good idea, no matter how clever it may sound. The broccoli will not be a sufficient scrub brush and will probably leave residue. Any other vegetables that may seem like they could do the trick are also inadequate. The only exception to this rule is lemons, which can be used in cleaning solutions.
- Gardening Tools
Although a handle held shovel can seem like a useful tool to have around for picking up trash and scraping gum off the floor, it is a really poor choice for a cleaning tool. There are so many options for high quality cleaning tools that it makes absolutely no sense for you to use gardening tools. Thinking that gardening tools would be good for cleaning shows a clever sign of poor judgement. You should not be looking in the gardening section of a store for cleaning materials, no matter how tempting it may be.
- Office Employees’ Possessions
Even though you may be tempted to use that new box of clorox wipes sitting on an employee’s desk to disinfect the doorknobs, you really should not do that. It’s very rude and borderline illegal to use someone else’s cleaning supplies to clean. This is especially true since they won’t know that you are using their stuff to clean.
